I hope you will repost those videos from the Santa Barbara beach vault. They were some of the best videos available to help my high school athletes. It may have been the fact that there is only blue sky behind them so the vaulters were so clear. Anyway, I used to live in Santa Barbara and you just have to love vaulting on the beach!

I got some great information out of this interview. Some I knew and some not, some was reiterated and I found useful...

One thing that I really did enjoy is he spoke a little bit about what it takes to get to the next level. Yes, he did speak about what younger athletes can do to get faster and stronger but he also talked about being an elite athlete. Its the information that is going to take a high 16'er in college to be a 17' 18' footer when he is done his collegiate career and entering into the emerging elite scene that I find interesting.

Many athletes talk more about younger and beginner vaulters to continue the sport, but it is easy to talk about younger vaulters because they do not know better. Talking to a guy who can't get around 5.20, and giving him advice to get around 5.30, 40, 50 can really be inspiring and helpful... Being in that range where no one is paying you money to pole vault, but you do it to get better and to reach new heights, it can be very difficult to stay focused... an interview like this can be really powerful to those emerging elites who just haven't hit big bars yet. Good Job NeoVault!

A lot of the interview topics I've heard before but I feel they are topics you can't hear enough of. I also picked up on a few things that I could work on a bit. It is really cool to be able to hear about things like this from the best, that is why people spend tons of money going to camps. Thanks for the video Neovault.
