pole vaulter Yoo Kim
Yoo Kim didn't really need God on Saturday . . .
. . . he just needed a 13.5 Pacer Carbon to handle his god-like approach. This kid wants altitude. Desire for big flight is apparent in the clip. Check him out jumping 5.55 (18'2").

Russ Pole Vault
Russ Buller jumps 18'10" to win the Mt. Sac Invitational
Russ was looking quite fast on Saturday the 19th of April.

After Toby Stevenson took the lead with a clearance at 18'8" Russ passed with only one attempt left. Check out the clip of Russ stepping up and making the bar with his one and only go at it.

Coach Curran Performs onstage at Reno!!
During the elite competition on Friday night some of the coaches were allowed onstage, including Coach Curran (nolimitsports). I had Steve call coach on his cell and ask him to do something funny. I laugh every time I watch. Check it.

Retired Pole Vaulter Jason Hinkin Benches 405!!!
Jason Pole Vault Bench

Steve and I paid a visit to Brian Yokoyama's annual camp to film Tim Mack, Brian McLaughlin, Toby Stevenson as well as some up and coming talent.

Jason Hinkin (5.70PR) was there working the camp for Brian. We got to talking about vaulting, training, etc. Jason was explaining that as he was getting over his achilies surgery he really focused on training upper body and exploring new lifting techniques.

He starts talking about his lifting sessions and is throwing out numbers like 225lbs for 20 times, 315 for 5, even 405 for a solid two reps.

So I start laughing and call bullshit on him. He gets the keys to the weight room from Yokoyama and tells me to grab my video camera.
